Introduction
I love to sing and I find myself addicted to Karaoke! Would love to get together with a group of friends and sing on a regular basis.
What is one of your favorite songs to sing?
Too many to list! Right now, I regularly sing: Heartbreaker (Benatar), Call Me When You're Sober (Evanescence) If I Aint Got You (Keyes), Love Song (Bareilles), Take Me the Way I Am (Michaelson). Also anything by Sheryl Crow or Sarah McLachlan.
What music genres do you prefer? Standards, Showtunes, Rock (old or new), Country (old or new), Oldies, Old School, Pop, R & B, Rap, etc. or other?
Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, Pop, some R&B, classics & oldies too. I love many different kinds of music. Can't stand country, but I will do Shania, Patsy or Kenny Rogers. Don't care for punk or rap, but I try to keep an open mind. It's all good!
What evenings of the week are you able to go out for karaoke?
Weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun) are best, but I sometimes I can get away during the week.
Do you prefer the company of a particular age group for karaoke meetups? College crowd to 20's, 30's to 40's, 50+ or don't care?
Don't care. It's fun to sing with anyone.
Are you interested in hosting at a venue? (MUST COMMIT TO BE THERE AND GREET MEMBER'S)
Yes, absolutely. I am working on a master list to be distributed at our next meeting, and I also have some great ideas to share.
